I felt groggy as I slowly opened my eyes. The world
around me felt very disoriented, like it was blurry and spinning all at
once. It took a couple of minutes, but I was finally somewhat oriented
to realize that I was on a ship. I tried to think back to how I got
here, but nothing came to mind. Panic started to build up under the
small hold I had on sanity, so I quickly started to quietly repeat to
myself what I did remember. One, I was at home on land. Two, I was
getting ready for bed. Three, I went to bed and fell asleep...
Then how did I get on this boat? The coast was a couple hours away from where I lived which is the only body of water big enough to contain the boat I was on.
"Looks like one of the cargo woke up." A man of indiscernible race, due to the shadowing, towered over my cage... WAIT a minute. Cage?! I looked around more closely and sure enough I was in a cage, plus it appeared that I wasn't the only one either.
"Looks like we'll need to use a little more with this one," Another man answered as he approached.
Before I could voice any of my thoughts or questions, the guy that joined the other one grabbed my arm through the bars and pricked me with a needle. It wasn't long before I slipped back into an unwilling drug induced sleep.
